What’s in it

Brainard’s Natural Remedies Antacid is different from all other antacids, because it is relies primarily on blueberry fiber to provide relief. It’s a more natural antacid. An accidental discovery several years ago that fresh blueberries help relieve heartburn eventually led to the proprietary blend now contained in Brainard’s Natural Remedies Antacid. In the meantime, many sufferers of occasional indigestion have come to rely on Brainard’s to get relief quickly and naturally.

In addition to blueberry fiber, fruit extracts and absorbable minerals in Brainard’s help make it a more natural antacid alternative. Brainard’s contains NO calcium carbonate – ever. Calcium carbonate is essentially ground limestone, and cannot be absorbed well by the body. Instead, it may contribute to arterial plaque and kidney stones.

Brainard’s unique blend of fruit extracts includes bilberry, elderberry and pomegranate extracts, ingredients known from folk remedies to have beneficial effects on sensitive stomachs. Brainard’s Natural Remedies Antacid also contains calcium citrate and magnesium citrate – two forms of calcium and magnesium that are much better absorbed by the body than calcium carbonate. All in all, Brainard’s is great for anyone looking for a more natural antacid alternative.

Brainard’s Natural Remedies is gluten free, vegan, non-GMO, and contains no artificial ingredients, preservatives or coloring. Its unique proprietary blend is patent pending, and the product is made in the USA.

What’s never in it

Calcium carbonate. This is the main ingredient in the most common mainstream antacids, and it is essentially ground-up limestone. This mineral certainly helps reduce acid, but it cannot be absorbed or digested by the body to any great degree.  Recently there’s been concern that all that calcium carbonate or limestone might contribute to kidney stones and build-up in the arteries, which could lead to an increased risk of heart attack.
